During the Spring of 2011 the kids were introduced to Glass Fusing by creating a sun catcher, similar to the one on the right. Then in October we had the opportunity to host a 4 week series of Glass Fusing classes. This time the kids had a chance to make several projects that included a name plate, a fridge magnet and a photo transfer plate - the first set of students to try this new technique! And they turned out amazingly cool looking to boot.Friday, December 23, 2011
Sun Catching Thank You
During the Spring of 2011 the kids were introduced to Glass Fusing by creating a sun catcher, similar to the one on the right. Then in October we had the opportunity to host a 4 week series of Glass Fusing classes. This time the kids had a chance to make several projects that included a name plate, a fridge magnet and a photo transfer plate - the first set of students to try this new technique! And they turned out amazingly cool looking to boot. Our fantastic instructor conspired with the kids to create this beautiful sun catcher as a very special Thank You for the facility office which allowed us to use the space for the class.
Now that it's fired and all ready to go they will be receiving it shortly! Hopefully they will enjoy looking at it as much as the kids did creating it.
