Kid's Self Defense Class

The Kid's Self Defense Class was a lot of fun! The kids (and some moms) learned how to get out of front & back choke holds, several wrist grabs, a headlock, behind the back wrist pins, and to watch some advanced throws by the instructors. Here we see two Green belts demonstrating the Headlock Sweep which the kids then got a chance to try. It's a very easy & effective way to extricate yourself from a headlock!
All the moves shown & taught were designed to get the victim out of a tight situation and AWAY from an attacker.
I found it really amazing that the 2 groups who spent the most time practicing & perfecting their new techniques were the 4-6 yr olds and the 10-14 yr olds. It was funny to hear them saying things like, "Ok, now you choke me," and "Wait, let me put you in a headlock." :)
